Hi! I’m Shirley.
A Costa Rican native now calling Los Angeles home. I've always been fascinated by how technology and design can work together to make complex information more accessible and meaningful.
My tech journey started with curiosity – teaching myself Adobe Suite, diving into Python and C programming, and constantly seeking ways to bridge technical capabilities with design. Along the way, I discovered how powerful data visualization can be in helping people understand complex information. There's so much data available today, but making it truly understandable and useful? That's where design thinking makes all the difference.
Today, my work spans market analysis, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement. But I never stop exploring. Recently, at FabricAcademy, I've been experimenting with cutting-edge technologies like E-textiles, biofabricated materials, and wearables. Because for me, technology should serve a clear purpose – making information and experiences more accessible and intuitive for everyone.
Whether I'm crafting data visualizations or exploring how textiles can interact with technology, I'm focused on bridging the gap between complex information and human understanding.
